Becoming a Member

MFATEH membership is open to individual Faith Group organizations in the Toronto area. This includes congregations, synagogues, temples; faith based charities or service providers as well as representatives from Faith Group establishments that serve the GTA such as diocese, conventions, associations, councils and the like. It is suggested that each group name up to two representatives so as to maintain continuity of representation. The MFATEH may on occasion accept members who do not represent one the above groups but who support the aims and goals of the MFATEH and whose contribution is important to the success of the organization.

New Members are endorsed by a vote of existing members present at a regular MFATEH meeting.

Membership means:

• Your organization supports the declaration, aims and objectives of the MultiFaith Alliance.
• Your organization wishes to further the work of the MFA by sending a representative(s) to MFATEH meetings and by working on an action committee of interest.
• Your organization will provide modest financial support to MFATEH as needed

Becoming an Endorser

You can endorse the MFATEH by being a signatory to its “Declaration and Call to Action”. Endorsers may be:

Faith Leaders – eminent persons recognized in their own Faith Group and the broader community
Faith Organizations – see first paragraph under Becoming a Member above
Individuals
Endorsers will be kept informed of MFATEH concerns, activities and actions, and will be invited to major events.

Becoming a volunteer or financial supporter

MFATEH welcomes your contribution to the work of the organization. The contribution may be cash, goods (office equipment, supplies, etc.), or service (graphic design, printing, writing, research, etc.).
